Kijiji is a family. I was new in the San Francisco Bay area and knew nobody. Kijiji welcomed me and put me in a community. One of the biggest challenge for an immigrant especially from the Global South is loneliness.

The global North is an individualistic society, this can be overwhelming. Kijiji gave me a social connection and as the adage goes , "It takes a village to bring up a child".Kijiji has helped me and is still helping me to gain a sense of belonging. The resources and connections are priceless. I belong to the village known as Kijiji.
