Mushroom, besides being delicious is an alternative to meat consumption in poor homes. Thus the poor constantly grow mushroom as an economic activity but on a smaller scale simply for family consumption.

Berdsco wants to go on this project to a fuller scale targeting 1,000 household producers for consumption and income generation.
