Benevolent Community Education and Rural Development Society - Berdsco was founded in 1990
The company was established in 1990 by Mr. FORZI George NGU, a postgraduate student from the University of Manchester resident in his home country Cameroon to alleviate poverty among Cameroonians suffering from the effects of economic crisis that stroked the country in the mid-nineties.

Health, Hiv/Aids and Malaria are very common social issues in the rural areas. The rural population within Berdsco catchment area suffer from various health threats and diseases.
During our survey and training on health education sessions we have documented prevalence of: malaria, typhoid, pneumonia, dysentery, diarrhea, skin diseases, tuberculosis, hypertension, pregnancy complications, chicken pox, epilepsy, sleeping sickness, Hiv/Aids, Covid 19 and several toilet inflammation diseases. We believe health plays a very important aspect in the life of poor people. Presence of diseases mentioned above can be serious threat to secure livelihood of rural family. Once the causes are identified by berdsco project team, remedies are applied immediately through referrals to professional health structures.
